JANUARY 20TH 1945 - POSTMARK
The 32nd Infantry Division landed on Leyte Island Philippines November 14th 1944, relieving the 24th Infantry
Division. As the Limon Battles raged through December, the Division fought the Battle of Kilay Ridge. The
Division gained the west coast of Leyte near Villaba December 29th. The 32nd Infantry Division landed in
Lingayen Gulf on Luzon January 27th 1945 and began the final phase of the push on Manila, seizing San
Nicolas February 1st 1945.
