U.S. Army Air Force Type A-2 Flight Jacket |
This Type A-2 Flight Jacket was made by The Bronco Manufacturing Corporation, New York, New York. Also shown is a Type A-4 Parachute Harness with Chest Pack Parachute Container. This style of parachute was known as the "Yellow Group" due to the style of attachment hooks. This parachute harness was used as a prop in the movie "Memphis Belle". The Type A-3 Parachute group was known as the "Red Group" which had a different style attachment hook set. Also shown is the Type B-4 Pneumatic Life Vest - also know as the "Mae West" and a B-6 Winter Flying Helmet. |
